New president at Berwick Rotary

Berwick Rotary Club's new president, David Ross, started his year with a bang when not only was he inaugurated, but he hosted a visit from the District Governor of Area 1030 (North East England).

David was well up to the task of entertaining Stewart Atkin and took the opportunity to let him know what the club was doing and how well the people of the area supported its work.

This year’s officers are president David, vice-president Moira Thompson, secretary Simon Landels and treasurer Peter Ayre.

Out-going president Chris Hardie said the club had done a lot over the past 12 months, including the Christmas fair, Party on the Paradeand Spirit of Sport.

The club’s next major event will be its charity open golf tournament at Goswick on August 15, raising funds for the Grove School in Tweedmouth. Anyone interested, email BerwickRotary@gmail.com
