It will be open every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas from 10am-3pm, serving coffee, baked goods and ice cream.

The speciality coffee company, which had been based in Spittal since 2015, recently expanded and relocated its roastery to the Ramparts Business Park.

The Loovre was previously operated by Dave Blackburn under lease from Berwick Preservation Trust and has become a popular stopping point for locals and visitors walking the town walls.

In 2014, the Preservation Trust acquired the property, a former ladies toilet block, from Berwick Town Council.

It had not been used as a toilet facility for several years. The inside was stripped of the conveniences and it was used as a general store for the roads and parks departments. The Trust tried to maintain as much as possible of the original structure and the Victorian Minton tiled floor.
