New addition to lifeboat family
Berwick's RNLI newest addition to the lifeboat family is Toby, son of coxswain Robert Frost and his wife Louise.
Toby, who was born on January 27, came in at a grand weight of 11lbs.
Louise said: “I thought Toby already had his lifejacket on, with the weight of him when he was born!”
Robert took Toby along to introduce him to the station. He was sporting his very own uniform which had been knitted by deputy launcher Debbie Robertson.
Robert, who has been with Berwick RNLI for 28 years, said: “His name is on the list already for joining our great crew.”
Every time the lifeboat is launched to go out on a rescue, a family serves alongside crew members until their safe return. Fortunately there was no shout when Louise went into labour and Robert was able to be by her side to see his son safely delivered.
