Goldwing Light Parade in Berwick.

More than 70 motorcyclists took part in an evening parade around the town which was followed by a fantastic fireworks display.

Earlier in the day, many of the riders parked up in The Parade to let visitors have a closer look at their bikes.

The previous evening there was a mini-parade at Haggerston Castle Holiday Park, where many of the riders were staying.

It even attracted riders from as far afield as Germany and Holland.

Ron Lawson, chairman of the Goldwing Misfits, said: “It was a fantastic weekend and there were lots of people out watching the parade and enjoying the live music beforehand.

“It’s a contuinuing struggle financially though and there is a chance this could be our last visit to Berwick unless we can get more support from local businesses and spectators on the day. We had very little of that this year.

“There was a chance until we got some donations late in the day that we would have had to dip into our own pockets to break even.

“We had bucket collections, a tombola, teas and coffees on but that only raised just over £1,000.”
