Mini-music festival a smash hit for BARK
Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK) organised its first mini-music festival on Sunday.
It was held at Castlehills Farm and organised by Isla and Ian Ballantyne, owners of two former BARK animals.
A spokesman for the charity said: “We’ve had some great feedback, requests to make it an annual event and one festival-goer called it the best gig in Berwick in 14 years!
“Everyone donated their time, equipment and expertise for free. Well Hung and Tender kept all the bands and back stage boys going with free food and drink all day.
“With staging by Live Earth, Summerland, The Joe Mangels, Pyre and Hardly Original had everyone up, dancing and wanting more.”
On Saturday, Cornhill Village Fair is being held in the gardens of the Old Vicarage from 11am, with some of the event’s proceeds going towards BARK.
There will be stalls, entertainment, games, a barbecue and refreshments and, of course, a raffle so it promises to be a great family day out.
