Megan and her court were met at the quayside by the 2015 Herring Queen Roma Peakman and her maids. They were escorted by Eyemouth Pipe Band to Gunsgreen House to prepare for the crowning ceremony.

Roma, in her last act before handing over the crown to Megan, said: “When people ask me what it’s been like to be Eyemouth Herring Queen I can’t actually put it into words, it’s been so good! Good luck Megan, savour every moment, you’ll love it.”

The two courts were then led along the High Street to the Eyemouth disaster memorial and then on the war memorial where wreaths were laid.

Every day is a busy day during the festival and it has been non-stop since the children’s procession and fisherman’s picnic on Saturday. There’s still plenty more to come until the dramatic fireworks display over the harbour on Saturday night.
