Making visits so special

As the year heads towards winter, may I say thank you to some wonderful people.

Collectively, they have made an impact and a difference to those with disabilities.

And they have left an indelible imprint on a one-to-one disability support worker.

Sincere thanks to Coun Andrew Douglas, skipper of the Serenity 2 at Seahouses, for the kindness and support he and all his staff have shown to Keith, always insisting Keith sailed over to the Farne Islands as a guest, and giving him the happiest of days.

A humble thank-you to Haven for the wonderful holidays at Primrose Valley Holiday Park this year. The Haven staff were so helpful and caring, always making sure all was well.

And also to Haven’s security team at Haggerston Castle for their humility and understanding while we visited.

Feeding the lake birds may have seemed the simplest of tasks, yet to us it was the world.

Thanks also to The Alnwick Garden and the truly amazing staff who have been exceptional in making each visit to this magical place a lovely experience.

And a huge thank-you to the Aln Valley Railway team of volunteers and enthusiasts for the many warm welcomes we received throughout the year.
