Maisies has gone down a treat, especially with children, at its site in the town hall and was a popular venue for birthday parties.

It is moving to the former Furniture Barn shop on Hide Hill, opening on Saturday.

“The chocolate parlour now has a completely different look to it,” said owner Dawn Smith. “Although our parlour under the town hall has been popular, we have unfortunately been restricted as to what we can offer due to space restriction.

“Now with our own street frontage, and a purpose-built facility, we can now combine what we offer in our Eyemouth branch as well as our previous Berwick parlour.”

The new shop will be offering an even wider range of delights for customers as well as giant 1kg pick n mix sweets.

“We are now able to offer our delicious smoothies, which form two of your five a day, including our detoxzing, strawberry split and melon refresher,” said Dawn. “We will also be selling our new milkshakes, made with ice cream and a whole range of toppings available.

“A great new addition to our menu for chocoholics is our Maisie’s Chocolate Afternoon Tea for 2 comprising of a selection of savoury wraps, fresh cream profiteroles, and a tier of waffles and fruit complete with chocolate dipping pots. And for those looking to try something extremely chocolately, they can have our chocolate tea or double chocolate coffee to accompany.”

The new premises also has a section for the event hire side of the business, featuring their waffle cart, popcorn and candyfloss cart as well as their famous fountains.
