It was awarded a 1-star Great Taste award for the fantastic flavour of its Queen Street blend.

The firm has a coffee cart in Glasgow’s Queen Street station, which is where the blend gets its name from.

Luckie Beans is also now supplying more top restaurants, including Martin Wishart’s Michelin-starred restaurant in Edinburgh and Audela in Berwick.

Jamie McLuckie, founder of Luckie Beans, said: “It’s fantastic to have won another Great Taste Award and now to be able to call Luckie Beans a multi-award winning coffee roasting company is a dream come true.”

Judges comments include: “A fizzy front of mouth, then the journey starts with stone fruit and chocolate sweetness. There is a real fresh cleanness that delights the palate. There is a lot going on in this coffee and none of it bad. The addition of milk brings the freshness even more to the fore.”

There were 12,634 entries for the awards this year and, of those, 192 have been awarded a 3-star, 1,207 received a 2-star and 3,254 were awarded 1-star accolade.
