Longridge pupils raise more than £4,000 for hospice

HospiceCare North Northumberland was the chosen charity for Longridge Towers School Junior Department this academic year.

Pupils at Longridge Towers have raised over £4,000 for Hospicecare North Northumberland

A fantastic £4,160 was raised by the pupils, aged between three and 11, who held a disco, sponsored fun run, filled Smartie tubes and organised a cake sale.

This amount will enable the hospice to give 250 hours of care in the community. The charity is dedicated to providing care and support to adults, carers and families, whose lives are affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as respiratory and heart disease, motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis.
