Latest news from Border Archaeological Society
The Border Archaeological Society Lecture Series continues on Monday, April 9.
After a brief AGM, Dr Richard Annis, a senior archaeologist at Durham University with 30 years’ experience of working in the North East, will talk about Durham And The Battle Of Dunbar: Identifying Scottish Soldiers At Palace Green, Durham.
In November 2013 building work at Durham’s Palace Green library uncovered human remains. This talk will describe the archaeology, scientific and historical work that led to the identification of the remains and links to a large community of related people.
It starts at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre, The Parade, Berwick. The event is free to members, £2 visitors.
