A Burns Supper was held at the January meeting.
Our catering team, led by Mrs A. Easton, cooked and served the traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties, followed by a choice of trifles.
Mrs S. Hardie addressed the haggis with some words from Burns, and after an enjoyable meal a vote of thanks was given to the cooks.
The raffle was drawn, then we had fun with a game of reverse bingo.
Mrs P. Bruce’s ammonite was first in the competition and Mrs S. Hardie’s toy alpaca, all the way from Peru, came second.
During the business meeting this year’s completed programme was presented and information boards were passed round detailing future outings.
There will be an informal coffee morning at Upper West Street on February 7.
New members are always welcome.
