As the berries on the rowan turn blood red and skeins of geese fly overhead, Berwick U3A is getting ready for another year of learning, leisure, fitness and fun.

If you are retired or semi-retired, you are welcome to join and take part in a wide range of activities run by members.

We have more than 50 groups offering opportunities to learn new skills, study interesting topics, keep fit, socialise and have fun. A full list of groups can be found at www.u3asites.org.uk/berwick

A year’s membership costs £13. Group activities are free, although there may be a small charge to cover the cost of room hire where applicable.

In addition to group activities, we hold monthly meetings with invited speakers and organise other events, including visits to places of interest, a Christmas lunch and a Burns Supper.

Berwick U3A welcomes people from all walks of life to join our friendly, informal organisation. We have members from Berwick, North Northumberland and the Eastern Scottish Borders.

To find out more, pop into our membership morning on Monday, September 3, at Berwick Guildhall, any time from 10am to noon. You can talk to group leaders and other members, and refreshments will be provided. We look forward to meeting you.
