Latest news from Berwick Trefoil Guild
The April meeting opened with the Trefoil Prayer and a warm welcome was given to Ann Williams, the division commissioner.
She then announced that it was our turn to host the county’s celebration on Saturday, September 15, when we will be providing refreshments. The venue has still to be decided.
We are knitting squared blankets as part of our 75th birthday challenge and instructions were given out.
We are also holding a coffee morning in St James’ Court on Saturday, June 2, from 10am to noon. There will be a raffle and tombola, with proceeds going to Riding for the Disabled, which is the Trefoil Guild’s charity this year.
Instead of going out for a meal this month, members enjoyed fish and chips delivered by the local Cannon restaurant.
The afternoon finished with tea and biscuits, followed by the lucky dip and the singing of the new Trefoil Guild 75th celebration song and Taps.
