The stage is set for the Annual Gatherin' of Berwick St Andrew's Club at the Guildhall on Friday, November 25. There has been a steady demand for tickets for an evening which recognises Scotland's rich heritage and tradition.
Mrs Mav Watkins is this year’s president, with Mr Ian Hay as the vice president.
Archivist Linda Bankier will provide the toast to the town, with the Mayor, Coun Ivor Dixon, replying. Mr Peter Walton will give the toast to the Armed Forces, and Mr Michael Ross will give the address to the Haggis.
The entertainers will be Ken and Jaqui Budge, Michael Ross and the Rev Bob Higham, and accompanist will be Michael Ballee.
A special St Andrew’s service will be held in Wallace Green Church on November 27, which is being organised by Mr Higham.
It was confirmed that the minister will give the Immortal Memory at the Annual Burns Supper in the Black and Gold on Friday, January 27. His wife will address the Haggis and Mr Ian Buick will lead a team of entertainers.
A £500 cheque has been donated to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
