Latest news from Berwick RNLI Guild
The Ladies of Berwick RNLI Guild held their AGM recently reflecting on the past fundraising events that had been held during the year.
This year we held a very successful auction night at the Watch Tower. Thanks to Kate Stephenson for allowing us to use this venue.
We also held a coffee morning on Holy Island in the new Crossman Hall. Thanks to Sue Massey for all her contribution to a very successful day.
Our annual fete proved to be popular again with an amazing amount of people contributing to the artisan stalls and displays.
A huge thanks must go to all the Guild ladies and the Berwick Crew members, who continually work hard together to achieve these successful events. Equally a huge thank you to our supporters, sponsors and donators, who throughout the year continue to help our events be the success they are, and for allowing us to be able to support the Berwick Lifeboat Crew.
This year has been tinged with sadness with the death of our President Lady Rose. Lady Rose will always be remembered for all her hard work. Regardless of the weather she would turn up and help at every event. She would also supply us with copious amounts of jams for our stalls. A wonderful lady who will be sorely missed by all of us at Berwick RNLI Station and to all who worked and knew her throughout her time as president.
On a happier note her daughter-in-law, Jane Crossman, has agreed to become our new president. All the Berwick Crew and the Ladies Guild welcome Jane and wish her well in her new post and we are all looking forward to working with her in the future.
