Graduate of Cambridge University and native of Leicester Hilary O’Shea was the speaker at Berwick Probus Club.

She told of the responsibility resting on her shoulders.

The firm has endured tough times, but fought back strongly after the introduction of computers.

She explained the work and care required of her job, and the high quality of the finished article.

There had been structural and technical, online work and e-books, but printed books continued to make a comeback and, now, more people than ever were reading. She liked to think she had contributed to that.
