Following Dr Adrian Janetta's very popular series of lectures, An Introduction to Astronomy, last year, he is to continue the course with a further series of five morning lectures on Further Topics in Astronomy, starting on Saturday, February 13.

The subjects will include Where are the Aliens? – a brief history of the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence, A Tour of the Solar System, which will include the recently discovered new planet, Comets, Meteors and Asteroids, The Milky Way and Galaxies and the Structure of the Universe.

The study days will take place at Berwick Voluntary Centre in Tweed Street, from 10am to noon. The fee of £32 for the series includes refreshments.
