Following his two earlier series of lectures on Astronomy 'An Introduction to Astronomy' in 2015 and 'Further Topics in Astronomy' in February this year, Dr Adrian Janetta is to continue this popular series with a five more morning lectures on 'Further Topics in Astronomy' starting on Saturday, October 29.

This entirely new series of lectures will cover topics as divergent as Gravity, The Sun, Supernovae, and the effects of space on our terrestial weather – the Aurora, Meteorite showers, Solar Winds and Sunspots. The final lecture will explore the Winter night-sky in December.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

This series of lectures will take place at the Berwick Voluntary Centre on Tweed Street from 10am to noon on Saturday mornings October 29; November 12, 19 and 26; and December 10. The cost of the course of five lectures is £30 including refreshments.
