The October meeting was opened by our president Christine Hutchinson, who welcomed everyone, including one visitor.

Saturday, 29th October 2016, 8:00 am

The county events taking place shortly include a murder afternoon, Posh Puddings, a Christmas craft workshop, a snowman beetle drive and a Christmas party.

The monthly lunch club will be today (October 27), at the Apple Inn, Lucker.

The speaker for the afternoon was Virginia, who is the manager of the Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh.

She was very informative, speaking about treasured possessions, and we learned about the best way to care for our delicate belongings. Some of our members brought along various items and it was very interesting to hear the story behind them.

Virginia certainly was a treasure, not only with her knowledge, but she helped us clear up afterwards.

Our next meeting will be on November 9, at 2pm, when Margaret Smith will give a demonstration of Iced Flowers. Visitors are extremely welcome.
