She was the winner of the Lady Waterford Bicentenary Raffle, held to mark the bicentenary of Lady Waterford’s birth.

Mrs Stones, who was presented with the painting by curator Geoff Bavidge, said: “I had forgotten all about my raffle ticket as I’d bought it so long ago, so it was a lovely surprise to receive a phone call saying that I had won.”

She added: “The painting is beautiful and I’m looking forward to having it on display at home.”
