Kind gesture for Prior Park kids

A Tweedmouth shopkeeper has donated 20 gift boxes for children in the Prior Park area of the town.

It follows an appeal made by local councillor Karin Graham for presents for under-privileged children and teenagers on the estate.

She said: “My ward has a lot of very impoverished residents and Christmas can be a great struggle for some. Paul Nichol, the proprietor of Odds and Sods in Tweedmouth, donated 20 fabulous gift boxes to my appeal.

“I will be distributing these greatly needed gifts in and around my ward over the next week and would like to thank Mr Nichol for his tremendously kind donation. It’s people like Paul who make communities come together over what can be a difficult time.”

Odds and Sods have enjoyed just over a year at Main Street, Tweedmouth.
