Kathleen calls it a day at tearooms
After many years running the Heatherslaw Tearoom, Kathleen Craig has decided to hang up her apron in order to concentrate on other things.
Situated in the former granary at Heatherslaw Cornmill, it is one of the oldest enterprises amongst the many at Ford & Etal Estates, and welcomes many hundreds of people each year for light snacks, home baking, teas and coffees.
“It is sad that Kathleen is calling time after so many years,” said Lord Joicey of Ford & Etal Estates. “She has had a very long association with the Tearooms, firstly as an assistant and for the last seven years as the operator. Her smile and her welcome are so familiar to us all and her staff have always been of the highest calibre. We will miss her a lot.”
Ford & Etal Estates, who are the landlords of the site at Heatherslaw, will be advertising for new tenants early in the New Year.
