Borders College SVQ Level 3 joinery student Robert Flint, employed by Neil Creelie Joinery in Berwick-Upon- Tweed, attended this year’s annual Scottish Association of Timber Trade Teachers (SATTT) competition.

Seventeen joinery students, representing colleges from Shetland to Dumfries and Galloway, took part in the competition, which was held at South Lanarkshire College recently.

Starting at 9am and working through until 4pm, all 17 entrants did a great job in producing this year’s sign and frame model to high standards.

After judging was complete, Robert achieved a podium place, gaining third place for Borders College.
