Wing Commander John Booth, right, hands over command of RAF Boulmers School of Aerospace Battle Management to Wing Commander Tim Brown.

John, in post since July 2014, said: “Ever since I came to RAF Boulmer in the mid-90s as a student I wanted to return to command the School of Aerospace Battle Management. My family and I have a real affinity for the area and the local community. To come back here for another two years really was a privilege.

“The men and woman, both RAF and Civil Service, of all ranks and grades that work at the school really are exceptional and I have been proud to part of the team. With nearly 600 students a year, we couldn’t do what we do without the support of the rest of the RAF Boulmer staff and I would like to thank them for helping us to succeed. Leaving the SABM is bittersweet but I wish my replacement, Wing Commander Tim Brown, all the very best for his tenure in command.”
