Jenny in a marathon effort for animals
Jenny Patterson is running the Stirling Sottish Marathon this Sunday in aid of Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels.
We wish her a safe marathon. If you would like to contribute, please see our facebook page or website for a link to her fund-raising page, or you could pop a donation into our shop.
Many thanks to Broomhouse Farmhouse for its Mayday Murders last weekend.
We understand the culprit was apprehended and made to empty his pockets in aid of the animals at BARK.
Tickets go on sale this week for our raffle, to be drawn at the Cornhill Village Fair on Saturday, July 8.
Tickets will be on sale in the usual places, including our shop, Galedin Vets and our kennels.
The two cats that came in as strays have remained unclaimed. Both have had scans and blood tests to try to work out why they are so poorly.
Martha’s results have come back and she is still anaemic.
We hope that with a couple of weeks of extra TLC this may improve, otherwise we will need to look further.
Anastasia, sadly, isn’t quite so lucky. Her tests have not shown up anything obvious.
Her teeth are very bad, but that doesn’t really explain her condition. She will be undergoing further investigation this week.
We really appreciate your support, which allows us to be in a position to help these, as well as many other animals.
We have yet more rabbits looking for homes.
As the weather is improving they are all enjoying being out and about in their runs.
We hope to improve our outside facilities for the rabbits and guineas in the next 18 months.
Millie still hasn’t had any interest in her and she has now been with us for well over a year.
She was in another rescue before that.
She is so loving, but her problem is that she isn’t an ‘attractive’ colour, is short-haired and a Staffie.
We love her and are sure anyone lucky enough to be her new owner would too.
