In search of some fund-raising help
Oscar is a big, 18-month-old, Labrador/pointer cross. He has some good basic training and is good around other dogs. He needs a home where he will have company, lots of exercise and a bit of time for a cuddle.
Flick is a timid, little Patterdale type. She will need a home that can build her confidence both in the home and out. She is only a youngster and any effort will be more than rewarded.
We took a stray, long-legged, black and white collie in last week, nicknamed Roger. If you are missing this dog, please contact us as he is due to be put up for rehoming tomorrow (Friday), if he remains unclaimed.
We have some beautiful cats in, with personalities as great and diverse as their colouring. We have three stunning black and white boys, Spud, Sox and Mark, as well as little girl Crystal, three tabby girls, Sheba, Lola and Lucy, and two tabby boys, Paddy and Strider.
There are two stunning tortie girls who go together, Sukie and Spritzer, as well as tortie Whiskey, who goes with her brother Ginge.
These cats range for around a year old to coming up to double figures.
BARK relies heavily on our supporters to fund our facility, both through our shop and also by fund-raising events. Many people organise their own events, but BARK also organises events throughout the year. We are looking for volunteers to help at these, and to organise and co-ordinate them.
Is that something you think you could help with? Please contact us for an informal chat on 01289 306299 whether you have an idea for an event or would like to be hands-on.
One such event was not so much organised as trained for – Kirsty Riley running the Great North Run in aid of BARK, raising £395. A thank you to her and her sponsors.
BARK is one of the recipients of the Co-op Local Cause, Belford Branch. BARK could benefit from one per cent of your spend. Find details in store and on our website and Facebook page.
