Impressive, to say the least

When it comes to modern technology in the field of commerce, it does take an experienced operator to utilise it to a mutual conclusion.

I discovered this on Monday, June 19, and was more than delighted.

A monthly prescription repeat was handed by me to Mrs Susan Akers whilst her work colleague Ann English was otherwise engaged. I didn’t expect the medicines to be ready for about 48 hours. Wrong again.

The same afternoon, I was making a purchase at the shop when, to my amazement, proprietor Rohit Navar, smilingly as usual, said: “Oh Eric, I have your prescription ready.”

My reply was: “Are you sure boss, I only put my script in this morning?”

Back came the reply, “all yours”, and “are you ok for an inhaler?”

I replied, somewhat taken aback, to the affirmative. Impressive, to say the least.

Despite advancing in years, Ann, Susan and Rohit don’t see us ‘silver-tops’ being stereotyped as ‘another encumbrance’.

Many thanks to Rohit and his ‘Dynamic Duo’.
