Home-grown veg is a real treat for rabbits
We have some super rabbits looking for homes and, although generally they prefer to keep their feed very firmly on the ground, and who wouldn't, the majority of them are friendly and all are inquisitive and tempted by their favourite treat.
They are all particularly keen on carrot tops. At the moment we are buying these, but we will be planting various vegetables again this year, which always spoils them as they always prefer fresh herbs and vegetables.
It’s fairly easy to do – well it would need to be with our horticultural skills. You don’t need to do it on a big scale, a few pots with carrots or parsley sewn in works a treat and is very rewarding.
Kirsty, one of the kennel staff, is taking part in the Great North Run this year in aid of BARK. Please do consider sponsoring her, either in our shop or via our paypal account at firstname.lastname@example.org
It is amazing how many events go on to raise funds for BARK and we really do appreciate all your support. We have a few ideas up our sleeves this year to use some of the funds from these individual events – as they say, watch this space.

Marley, the four-year-old labrador, is doing well with his training, and although he is a strong boy, he has got great potential and in the right hands is going to be a dog to be proud of.
Beth has settled well and will make a great companion for someone who likes to be out in the fresh air and getting plenty of exercise.
We have some super cats in, including Blue, a very soft coated black and white cat. He’s super friendly, but would be better suited to a quieter household, perhaps with children over 10.
Our shop is a real hive of activity and thanks to your donations, the quality and quantity of items is exceptional. The variety of goods on sale never fails to amaze. Please do stop by and have a browse, pick yourself up a bargain, have a look at the pictures of the animals looking for homes, or find out about volunteering opportunities.
