During the week beginning January 1, all collections will be one day later than normal - Monday collections on the Tuesday, Tuesday collections on the Wednesday, etc.

The day changes will affect both recycling and general rubbish bins.

Residents can also find out when their bins will be collected, when libraries and leisure centres, council offices and services will be open this Christmas in a handy section on the Northumberland County Council website.
