Hallowe'en chills and thrills at Ford & Etal
A fun-packed schedule of Hallowe'en-themed events is taking place on Ford and Etal Estates over the next week.
The popular scarycrow trail is back for half-term week. There will also be a carved pumpkin competition at Lavender Tearooms, plus kids’ and Hallowe’en quizzes at Etal Castle.
Heatherslaw Cornmill is hosting a spooky story night on October 29, from 6pm, finishing with soup and homemade bread.
There is also an opportunity for children to make their own pizza in beastly baking sessions at the mill from October 29-31, at 11.30am and 2pm. Heatherslaw Light Railway is also running a bat hunt.
On Hallowe’en itself, Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre is operating spooky carriage rides during the day and evening (pre-booking required).
