Grumpy Toby can be a super friendly boy

We were joined by two and half-year-old Toby a few weeks ago.

Berwick animal rescue kennels

A boxer cross spaniel who had sadly become rather grumpy in and around his house. He has got some skin and ear problems, which are currently having treatment and whether these contributed to his desire to be a bit nippy only time will tell.

We are looking for an experienced home for this boy, who we have found to be super friendly and full of life. No children due to his history and an only pet as on a couple of occasions there were issues with other dogs in his household, usually over something like a toy or food. He is otherwise a super boy, friendly and affectionate with huge potential for extended training.

We put a request out for a freestanding fan for the rabbit shed as ours stopped working last week. We are very thankful to the lady who bought us a brand new one via our Amazon wishlist. The bunnies (especially mum and babies, who are too young to go outside yet) are really appreciating it in the heat.

We are now signed up to Amazon’s Smiles, which means if you nominate us as your designated charity we can gain a donation for all you purchases. It is vital to always sign in through but other than that there is nothing further to do.

Mum rabbit will be going back to her original owner but her babies will be looking for homes in a couple of weeks. The weekend of August 18 is likely to be a busy one as we have a litter of kittens who are ready for viewing and will also be ready to go to their new homes that weekend. Three boys and three girls black/white, tabby/white and tabby.

We will be at Cornhill Summer Fair this Sunday, August 5, from noon to 3pm with a tombola stall. There is loads to do, with live music, food, craft stalls, games, balloon twisting, make your own cocktail and a fun dog show to name but a few. All taking place in the Collingwood Arms gardens with profits going to Cash for Kids. We look forward to you dropping by our stand.
