Some 149 works of art were on display to the public at Berwick Art Group’s 54th annual exhibition.

Fiona Stott, Morag Easton and Dave Watson were the appointed judges for the group’s two prize trophies.

The winner of the Fred Stott Memorial Cup for the best watercolour entry was Liz Lynham for her painting entitled Cottage Window.

Highly commended in the section was Valerie Glass’s Ruined Cottage.

The Best in Show Shield was awarded to Margaret Jones for her piece entitled Working Dog.

Meanwhile, Susan Hughes’s Kitchen Still Life was named the runner-up for the category.

Finally, the winner of The People’s Choice Award was Jancis Courtney’s work entitled By the Riverbank.

Pamela Thompson, of Berwick-upon-Tweed, was the lucky raffle winner. The much coveted prize consisted of two paintings by last year’s Best in Show winner Judith Hettrick.

Half of the proceeds from the raffle will be presented to the Berwick and District Cancer Support Group.
