Last Sunday’s Lynch Staunton was akin to a movie scene from Gorillas in the Mist - the course being shrouded in heavy sea haar.

However, a good number of golfers felt their way round and clocked up very creditable scores whilst doing so: 1st P McGuire 42 points, 2nd Alan Rodger 40 points on BB9, from 3rd G Moscrop also 40 points. Others: Alan Stevenson, Andy Waterson and Eric Johnson all shot 39 points.

Eddie Simmons won the Saturday 9-hole, 5-ball better ball, challenge competition.

This Sunday (May 15) is the Ford Trophy (Draw).
