Go Outdoors has seen a recent surge in bike sales since its cycling departments launched in stores nationwide earlier this year.

Cycling expert and manager James Uttley, of Go Outdoors Berwick, offers his top tips in cycling this autumn.

“In order to get the most out of your cycling this autumn, it’s important to switch to a tyre with more tread and invest in some base layers to keep out that crisp morning air,” he advises.

“Always give your bike a quick once over every morning before setting off and ensure you cover up with both high visibility clothing and bike lights.”

He recommends Kielder Water and Forest Park and, for experienced riders, the Reivers cycle route, as great cycling options.
