Nicholas (Scott Watson) and Red Riding Hood (Katie Hindmarsh) The Maltings stage Little Red Riding Hood as the 2015 panto

And if a traditional favourite is for you, The Maltings is set to make wishes come true as it presents Aladdin as its 2019 professional production.

Tickets are already on sale for the magical pantomime, which runs from December 14 to 30.

The show is set to revive a winning formula as it comes from the same team who presented Little Red Riding Hood (2015), Sleeping Beauty (2016), The Adventures of Sinbad (2017) and last year’s bestselling Cinderella.

There’ll also be plenty of familiar faces on stage, with fabulous dame Euan McIver, who has delighted audiences since 2015, set to return with outrageous costumes, quick wit and fluttering eyelashes aplenty.

Maltings’ favourite Ross Graham, who has performed in every pantomime at the theatre, as well as starring in sell-out shows Here Come The Girls and Damp Knight Improv, will also be back.

And writer, director and producer Wendy Payn also returns for more.

It may be early, but with most performances of last year’s Cinderella selling out, it could be a case of the sooner you book up the better.

Tickets cost from £17 to £22, concs £13.50 to £14, and are available from the box office on 01289 330999 or online at

All tickets booked before October 1 will be entered into a prize draw for family cinema vouchers all next year.
