Get in tune with long-running choir
A long-running Northumberland singing group is in fine song as it prepares for another term.
Berwick Arts Choir is now 70 years old, but it is continuing to go from strength to strength every year.
There are currently around 60 members of the group.
However, it is still keen to welcome more singers.
New members would be welcome in every voice part, and there are no auditions required to join.
The choir usually performs two concerts a year, and its members enjoy a variety of music from a great choral repertoire.
Its next performance will be a concert of Mendelssohn’s Elijah in January.
Anyone is welcome to join the choir’s first rehearsal of the new term, which takes place today (Thursday), and there are promises of stimulating, sociable and great fun.
The rehearsal will be held at St Paul’s United Reformed Church in Spittal, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
If you would like further information about the group visit its website at www.berwickartschoir.co.uk
Alternatively, you can email the choir at email@example.com
And people are also invited simply to turn up at the session, where they will be given a warm welcome.
