Georgia is set to brave the shave
Berwick woman Georgia Cross is shaving all her hair off to raise money to help beat cancer.
She will Brave the Shave on Sunday – the day after her sister’s wedding.
She has £170 in pledges but hopes to raise at least £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
“I wanted to do something to raise money and I can’t run a marathon, so this seemed like the next best thing,” said Georgia. “I returned home from 10 months volunteering only a month ago. In the time I was away, so many friends and family were affected by cancer – it was shocking.
“Cutting my hair off feels like the least I can do.”
Her hair will be donated to The Little Princess Trust and made into wigs for people who’ve lost their hair.
