Generosity of customers

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our Cornhill Shop Does Panto Day.

This year we had the Two Ugly Sisters (Lynda Waite and Julie Jones), Prince Charming (Diane Thompson), Cinders (Ashley Rutherford), the Fairy Godmother (Philippa Costello), and many others.

Father Christmas even made a surprise visit in a Cattle Waggon.

We were raising money for Radio Borders Mission Christmas for underprivileged children in the Borders and North Northumberland.

It currently has 1,600 children on its list, all of whom would wake up on Christmas morning to no presents if it wasn’t for the kind and generous people who take the time to donate hundreds of gifts and toys to make sure that such an event doesn’t happen.

We were asked if we could give ‘gift cards’ in the nine to 16-year-old girls’ category, and our fantastic customers didn’t let us down.

We delivered a total of 25 £20 vouchers, along with many gifts and toys.

Thank you all so much.
