Gearing up for annual events

As those principally responsible for organising the four autumn festivals in Berwick, we write to remind readers of the contribution the festivals make to the life of our town for both those who live here, including many children and young people, and for our visitors.

In 2017, the four festivals attracted several thousands of visitors by offering a wide range of events and activities.

Work has already started on planning for 2018.

By way of preliminary information, the Food and Beer Festival will take place from August 31 to September 2, the Heritage Weekend will be September 14 to 16, Film Festival from September 20 to 23, and the Literary Festival from October 18 to 21.

Please make a note of these dates now and support us when the time comes.

If you wish to get more involved as a volunteer at one of the festivals, we will be holding a joint information and coffee morning in the Guildhall, from 10am to noon on Saturday, July 7. It would be great to see you then.

Please look out for more information about that event and the festivals themselves in due course.
