Ford riding centre is shortlisted for award
A north Northumberland riding centre has been shortlisted for an award in what are known as the Rural Oscars.
Kimmerston Riding Centre, near Ford, has been shortlisted as a northern regional finalist in the farm enterprise category of the Countryside Alliance Awards.
Elsewhere, North Acomb Farm Shop, in Bywell, was nominated for the butcher category, while Northumberland Honey & Sovereign Nectar Meadery, in Haltwhistle, is up for the food and drink award.
The awards are the Countryside Alliance’s annual celebration of rural produce, skills, enterprise and heritage through our small businesses.
