First energy conference to be held in Berwick in April

Berwick Educational Association (BEA), in conjunction with Durham Energy Institute, Berwick Community Trust, and Community Action Northumberland, will be presenting the first Berwick Energy Conference on Saturday, April 6.

The conference comprises a series of lectures which will explore the past, present and future of energy; consider some of its consequences and look at the challenges that it poses locally.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

The day will commence with an overview of energy followed by a session on the past, present and future of energy. After lunch, the afternoon will start with a lecture on the consequences of energy, in terms of rural development and environmental impacts, while the final session of the day will be a Berwick case study which will consider heat, transport and power use in the context of the town and adjoining rural area.

No prior technical knowledge is required. Space is limited, so early booking is advised.
