Festival musicians are to play the blues
A festival of blues music and more is planned for Berwick this weekend.
Brian Martin, from The Music Gallery in the town, has pulled together a great mix of musicians to perform at The Auction House from Friday until Sunday.
Steve Morrison, who will play on the Friday, is a unique blues player and has had lots of TV coverage as he was a finalist in Guitar Star on Sky Arts and came second.
He has had great reviews from George Benson and Wilco Johnson, with a huge fan base in London.
Brian said: “We are delighted to have him open the weekend.”
Andre Christovam is up on Saturday evening. A Brazilian blues man, he has played, worked and met all Blues legends, from John Lee Hooker to Buddy Guy, Albert Collins to BB King, and many more. Backed by a four-piece band, he will also be telling stories of his times with the legends.
Mike Davids will close the weekend on Sunday and will be playing his style of grunting blues with a backing band, he was Barbra Streisand’s guitarist for a number of years and has played all over the world.
Doors open at 7pm for all the gigs, tickets are £6 per person, per gig.
