Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Get Active Northumberland (GAN) programme is running in Berwick in the summer holidays.

The sessions, which aim to encourage parents and children between the ages of five and 13 to become more active and eat more healthily, will be held from July 25-29 at St Andrew Wallace Green Church from 10am to 12pm.

The courses, which run after school, are a stimulating and fun way of helping families engage with healthy lifestyle changes.

Sessions are also being held in Cramlington, Prudhoe and Blyth.

Louise Ray, health improvement practitioner specialist at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The course is a great way for parents and their children to learn about healthy eating and being active together and, above all, it is a lot of fun.

“We would encourage people in the area to get in touch with the team to find out more.”

To attend, families should contact the GAN team on 01670 784 183 or gan@northumbria.nhs.uk in advance.
