Exhibition showcases border artists

An exhibition featuring national and international artists from across the borders will take place at a Berwick gallery later this year.

From May 6 to June 2 work from artists from the borders will be brought together for what will be the first of an annual exhibition celebrating the wealth of talent in the area.

It will showcase some of the best original fine art, illustration, abstract and contemporary artworks in the UK.

The exhibition is entitled Border Artists 2017 and will become a yearly showcase at The Watchtower Gallery in Tweedmouth.

This year’s artists taking part are Peter Hallam, Mick Manning, Brita Granstrom, Samantha Cary, Mark Irving, Paul Stangroom, Peter Podmore, Penny Cuthbert and Sakina Jones.

Also exhibiting will be Eric Richey, Yvonne Parr, Ken Spencer, Jane Harbottle, Kevin Pedden, Simon Harwood, Gill Walton and Deborah Boyd Whyte.

And finally Julia Patton, Andrew Watchorn, Dave Watson, Morag Eaton, Chris Mayger, John Stark, Hellen Stevens, Gerry Turley, Jonathan Lloyd, Tania Willis, Chris Vine, Priscilla and Paul Kenny will also be showcasing their work.

The exhibition will open on Saturday, May 6, and will then be open to the public every Thursday through to Sunday, from noon to 4pm.

Admission is free.
