Donating Easter prize
A Berwickshire schoolboy who won an Easter competition donated his prize to a sick children's hospital 25 years ago.
John Speed, from Reston, was the winner of the competition organised by Boots in the town, and won a giant egg. He decided to donate it to the haematology department at the Royal Sick Children’s Hospital in Edinburgh.
He is pictured receiving his prize from Boots food sales manager Scott McIntosh and giving it to Stella Renton, from Berwick Leukaemia Committee.
