The crowning of the new Tweedmouth Salmon Queen will take place on the evening of Thursday, July 19, and the floats carnival will be on Sunday, July 22.

The Tweedmouth Feast Committee have put a call out for more volunteers to assist with the organisation of this year’s event and also for donations.

A spokesman said; “In recent years, we have enjoyed good weather for the crowning but poor weather for the floats parade which has impacted our fundraising efforts among other things. We would encourage as many local businesses and groups as possible to enter a float. We also need more volunteers and donations as we try to build up this traditional and popular event.”
