Two boys, 14, arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm as armed police called to Alnwick
Northumbria Police were called to Taylor Drive, in Alnwick, shortly before 3.50pm on Thursday, May 6, to reports a male teenager had been seen with what appeared to be a suspected firearm.
Armed police were called to the area as a precaution and following inquiries two suspects were located.

Hide AdOfficers seized an imitation firearm and two males, both aged 14, were arrested.
An investigation into the incident is now ongoing.
A spokesman for the force said: “Firearms officers were immediately deployed to the area as a precaution and following inquiries they quickly located two suspects and seized an imitation firearm.
"Two males, both 14, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear.
"Inquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information that may assist police is asked to call 101 quoting log 730 06/05/21.
