Concerns raised at scale of Beadnell housing proposal
A proposed development of 52 houses in Beadnell has been criticised by a county-council hopeful.
Arch has bought Hellens Residential out of the scheme and says it would make the homes available on assured shorthold tenancy agreements at affordbale rents for full-time residents.
Bamburgh’s Conservative candidate Guy Renner-Thompson feels Beadnell needs more affordable housing but has criticised the scale of the plan.
He said: “The fact remains this is a wholly inappropriate development in a small village which has been under siege from developers. Any further expansion seriously threatens to change the character of the village.”
