Coffee roasting firm strikes it Luckie again
Berwick-based coffee company Luckie Beans has been included in the new Northern Independent Coffee Guide.
The guide is billed as the ultimate handbook to coffee shops and cafés selling top-notch speciality coffee.
Ideal for discerning coffee lovers, the guide describes a plethora of exciting new and established indie cafés and roasteries popping up across the north of England.
Earlier this year, Luckie Beans was also included in the Scottish Independent Coffee Guide.
Owner Jamie McLuckie said: “It’s fantastic to be included in the Northern Independent Coffee Guide. For a small coffee roasting company roasting right in the middle of Berwick being acknowledged for our quality of coffee is an honour.
“We supply coffee to cafés and restaurants from as far north as Inverness to as far south as Brighton. We’re still looking for that elusive first Berwick account, but I’m sure it will come. It would be great to get a more vibrant coffee scene in the town.
“We’re the first company to be included in both the Scottish and Northern England Independent Coffee guides. With being so close to the Border, it makes sense to be in both.”
The guide contains detailed entries on the coolest coffee hangouts, complete with a fold-out map of where to find them. It also includes information on the history of coffee machines, a beginner’s guide to beans and a handy glossary.
Committee member Dave Olejnik said: “The level of informal communication across the scene has seen the standard move up with people adding their own twists and originality. The second guide showcases that progression and growth.”
